What Our Heavy Equipment Cleaning Covers

Heavy equipment collects dirt a pickup never sees: red clay and Delta gumbo packed in the track frames, hydraulic oil holding every speck of dust, grease slung off the pins, and chaff or sawdust packed against a hot engine. A heavy equipment washing service has to remove all of it without cutting seals or soaking connectors. That is why we price construction equipment cleaning by the crew-hour or by the machine, never by the square foot. Semi trucks, trailers, box trucks and vans are a different job with different pricing, handled by our mobile fleet washing service.

How Heavy Equipment Degreasing Works

Grease, hydraulic fluid and diesel are oils, and oil does not rinse off with cold water. Heat thins the oil so the degreaser can emulsify it and the rinse can carry it off, at lower pressure around seals, hoses and wiring. Industrial degreasing on a machine follows the same order every time:

• Knock down the bulk first. Packed mud comes out with hand tools and a high-volume rinse. Degreaser cannot reach oil buried under clay.
• Protect what water can hurt. Hot engines cool down first. Alternators, starters, control modules, connectors, air intakes and aftertreatment sensors are covered or worked around, never hit straight on.
• Apply and dwell. Degreaser goes on from the bottom up so it does not streak. In Arkansas summer heat we work in sections so it never dries on paint or glass.
• Hot water, controlled pressure. Wide fan tips at a safe distance from rod and pivot seals, decals and glass. Radiator and cooler cores get low pressure, straight through the fins so they do not fold.
• Rinse from the top down, so dirt runs off instead of back onto clean steel.

Tracks and undercarriages

Packed mud adds weight, holds moisture against the steel and hides wear on rollers, idlers, sprockets and links. Wear can only be measured on a clean undercarriage, so we schedule heavy equipment cleaning before your undercarriage check, not after it.

Engine compartments

Engine degreasing is done on a cooled engine with the electrics protected, using more dwell time instead of more force. Chaff, sawdust and oily dust packed around the exhaust and turbo hold heat and can catch fire, so forestry, farm and landfill machines need the engine bay cleaned more often than the paint.

On every part of the machine, a tighter nozzle only drives grease into seams and strips paint. A deep degrease also removes old grease from pins and bushings, so grease the pivot points before the machine goes back to work. For rust on buckets and frames, we can follow the wash with spot sandblasting.

When Heavy Equipment Pressure Washing Pays for Itself

• Before service or repair. A mechanic cannot diagnose a leak they cannot see, and shop time spent cleaning is still billed.
• Before an inspection. Cracks, leaks and wear show on a clean machine. We wash so the inspector can see; we do not perform or certify DOT or any other inspection.
• Before a sale, auction, trade-in or rental return. Buyers bid on what they can see, and a clean return can head off a rental cleaning charge.
• Between job sites. Mud belongs on the site it came from, not on a public road, and some contracts require equipment to arrive clean.
• Before storage. Fertilizer, leachate and road brine keep eating steel and wiring while a machine sits.

We bring the hot water units to the machines. In a yard, we set up on your wash pad or a spot you choose and work down the line by unit number. If the site has no water supply, tell us when you ask for a quote.

A storm drain is not a sewer; it carries rainwater, untreated, to the nearest creek. Where your site requires recovery, we cover or berm the storm inlets, wash on reclaim mats or inside a contained area, recover the water and send it to the discharge point your site approves. Where the water and mud will go is agreed before we start, and anything that has to leave the site goes out through your approved waste hauler. Send your SWPPP or stormwater permit with the request and we will work to it. Before any heavy equipment cleaning starts, the machine is parked on level ground, shut down with the key out and the bucket or blade on the ground, and locked out under your program. We follow your site orientation, permits and PPE rules and complete your JSA before we start. If we notice a fresh leak, a split hose or a cracked weld, we tell you before we leave. That is a courtesy, not an inspection.

HAZWOPER training is how our crews work safely where hazardous substances are present. Heavy equipment cleaning is a scheduled wash, not a spill cleanup; if a machine has dumped fuel or hydraulic oil on the ground, that is a separate emergency spill response job.

A machine’s condition drives its time, so most heavy equipment cleaning is billed by the crew-hour. Per-machine rates apply to routine soil where a bid form or unit-price contract calls for them. Every job gets a written, line-item quote, and every charge below is printed on it. Rates are before sales tax.

What changes the price: pressure washing heavy equipment cost depends on the time since the last wash and what the machine carries, machine size, machines per visit, access and water on site, containment and recovery, and distance from Conway.
