Fleet Washing Services in Arkansas: Mobile Truck & Trailer Washing at Your Yard
American Services AR provides fleet washing services in Arkansas: we bring hot-water wash equipment to your yard and wash trucks, vans and trailers where they are parked, with the wash water contained. It is built for any business that runs commercial vehicles, from a two-van service company to a distribution yard with forty tractors and trailers.
American Services AR is rated 4.9 stars on Google, locally owned in Conway and serving Arkansas since 2010.
Arkansas is hard on a fleet. Road film bonds to trailer sides, summer bug strike etches clearcoat, and winter brine sits inside wheel arches long after the road looks clear, corroding frames and brake hardware where nobody inspects. Appearance is what you see; the frame is what costs money.
Most results for fleet washing in Arkansas are drive-through truck washes: you send a driver, he queues, he pays, he comes back, and the driver’s hours, fuel and downtime never reach that invoice. We wash the fleet where it sits, often outside your operating hours, so it is ready when the shift starts.
A job starts with a free online estimate from your address and unit count, then a written line-item quote, a scheduled crew, the wash and a sign-off walk before we leave. Get a free online estimate or call (501) 289-5623.
What’s Included in a Fleet Wash
Every unit on the quote gets the same written scope. A highway unit carries a layered load of soil, and each layer wants a different treatment:
- Two-step exterior wash with real dwell time. Road film, the bonded layer of oil, tire rubber and exhaust a highway lays onto a trailer side, does not rinse; it needs the right detergent, time and hot water to release.
- Wheels, tires and wheel wells degreased. Brake dust is iron-bearing and stains aluminum wheels permanently if it is left through a season.
- Bug-strike soak on the front cap, bumper and mirrors. Summer bug strike is acidic; it wants soaking, not pressure.
- Undercarriage and brine flush through winter. An underside wash in the brine months is maintenance, not appearance.
- Cab and trailer sides, and the diesel soot around the stack.
- Hand detail of mirrors, door handles, fuel caps and trim.
- Chemistry matched to the surface. Paint, vinyl wrap, polished aluminum and stainless all behave differently.
- Containment on every visit. Storm inlets bermed or covered, wash water recovered, discharge only where your site approves.
Full service adds the undercarriage and engine bay. We run hot water because cold water moves loose dirt but does not release bonded film or cut grease.
Benefits of a Scheduled Fleet Washing Program
The interval is the value, not the individual wash: a fleet on a standing program costs less per visit and is consistently presentable.
- No driver hours or fuel spent hauling units to a truck wash. Ten trucks sent out one at a time is most of a working day.
- No unit out of service. We work early mornings, evenings and weekends, between shifts rather than during one.
- Consistent presentation across the fleet. Every truck with your name on the door is your brand on wheels.
- Corrosion control on frames and brake hardware. Flushing brine off the underside through winter is the cheapest maintenance a fleet buys.
- A lower per-unit price. Monthly contract accounts take 15% off the van, box truck and semi rates, and a yard on a standing route gets a better number than a one-off call.
- One vendor, one certificate of insurance, one invoice, with a line per asset using your own unit numbers.
What It Costs to Put Off Fleet Washing
A one-off wash on a neglected fleet is the most expensive wash you will ever buy, because by then the soil has bonded and the brine has done its work.
Brine corrosion. De-icer sits on crossmembers, brake lines and wiring harnesses until somebody flushes it off. Left through the season it costs brake hardware and, eventually, frame repairs that run multiples of a winter of underside washes.
Bug strike etching. Insect residue is acidic. Left on the front cap through a summer it etches the clearcoat permanently, and no wash takes the marks back out.
Bonded road film. Film that has sat for months needs a restorative wash with stronger chemistry and far more labor, so the first visit costs more than the program would have.
Stormwater liability. If a low-cost washer lets wash water reach a storm inlet, the enforcement letter can go to the property, not just to the contractor who drove away.
What to Plan For
Good fleet washing has a few honest limits, and planning around them is part of the job.
- Water supply. An on-site spigot is cheaper and we will use yours; hauled water is a separate line on the quote.
- Drainage decides the containment. For a yard of any size we walk it before we put a number on it.
- Wrapped units need low pressure. Tell us which vehicles are vinyl-wrapped when you request the estimate.
- A neglected fleet needs a restorative first wash. The interval price applies from the second visit.
- Every visit carries a job minimum and a $150 flat fuel surcharge. A single van will not clear the minimum alone, so single-unit accounts are quoted quarterly or bundled with other work.
- Freezing weather can stop a wash. When steps and mirrors will ice before they dry, we reschedule rather than hand you a frozen unit.
- Heavy equipment is a separate service. Excavators, dozers, loaders and skid steers are degreased under heavy equipment cleaning, part of our industrial cleaning services, and billed by the crew-hour.
Who Fleet Washing Is For
If it carries your name on the door or a DOT number on the cab, it belongs on this page: box trucks and straight trucks, tractors and trailers, service vans and pickups, dump trucks and roll-offs, buses and shuttles, refuse and utility bodies. Typical accounts are delivery and logistics yards, HVAC and plumbing fleets, contractors, school and church shuttles, waste haulers and municipal yards.
Arkansas freight concentrates in a handful of places and we build routes around them: West Memphis, where I-40 and I-55 converge; Little Rock and North Little Rock at the I-30 and I-40 junction; Springdale and the Northwest Arkansas distribution corridor; Fort Smith; Texarkana on I-30; and Conway, where our yard is.
How a Fleet Washing Job Works
Six steps, and you see the price in writing before a crew is scheduled.
Free online estimate from the address
Send the yard address and a rough unit count by type. You get a starting number back, usually the same business day.
Yard walk and written quote
We walk the yard, check surfaces and drainage, and send a line-item quote with every adder shown.
Scheduled crew and containment
The visit is booked around your hours. Inlets are bermed or covered before the first unit is washed.
Pre-soak and degreaser
Degreaser on wheel wells, undercarriage and road-grime zones, and a bug-strike soak on the front.
Hot-water wash and hand detail
Two-step wash with proper dwell time and chemistry matched to the surface, then hand detail.
Spot treatment and walk-through
A final pass for tar and heavy deposits, then the fleet is signed off with you before we leave.
Standards and Safety: Wash Water, Stormwater and Your Yard
Washing trucks releases oil, diesel, brine, detergent and metal-bearing solids, and where that water goes is the yard’s liability, not the washer’s.
Storm drains run to creeks and rivers untreated. Under the EPA’s NPDES stormwater program and the Arkansas rules that implement it, fleet wash water is not allowed to enter them, and the notice of violation can be addressed to the property owner.
How we work it: we berm or cover the inlets in the wash area, recover the water, and discharge only to the point your site approves, typically the sanitary sewer or a holding tank. If you operate under a stormwater permit or an SWPPP, send it with the request and we work to your plan.
On the crew side: crews are trained to OSHA 10 and 40-hour HAZWOPER and complete your JSA where the yard requires one, and we hold DBIDS base access for Department of Defense installations.
Fleet Washing Pricing
Fleet washing is priced per unit by vehicle class, never by the square foot, and the numbers below are starting points: the written quote follows the yard walk and the unit count.
| Scope | Vehicle | From |
|---|---|---|
| Basic wash — exterior soap wash and rinse | Cargo van, pickup, Class 4–5 truck | $35 per unit |
| Standard wash — exterior, wheel and tire degreaser, bug removal | Van or pickup | $55 per unit |
| Box truck | $85 per unit | |
| Semi tractor | $110 per unit | |
| Full service — exterior, undercarriage, engine bay, cab wipe-down | Van or pickup | $80 per unit |
| Box truck | $125 per unit | |
| Semi tractor (aluminum brightener in place of the cab wipe-down) | $165 per unit | |
| Semi tractor and trailer together | $210 per unit | |
| Refuse packers (rear-load and front-load) | Per unit by unit count; roll-offs, side loaders, grapple trucks and transfer trailers on their own per-unit ladders | $175 single unit; $64 at 40+ |
| Heavy equipment | Excavators, dozers, loaders, skid steers: heavy equipment cleaning | By the crew-hour |
- A job minimum per visit, before tax. It is a job total, not a rate; the written quote states the minimum for your route, and a smaller visit is bundled with other work or moved to a route day.
- $150 flat fuel surcharge on every trip. It is the only mobilization charge on yards within about an hour of Conway; longer hauls carry a travel line or are quoted by the crew-hour, and the written quote shows which.
- Monthly contract accounts take 15% off the van, box truck and semi rates. Refuse fleets are priced on their own frequency schedule, shown in the written quote.
- One invoice line per asset, using your own unit numbers. Water hauling, after-hours work, long-haul travel, time beyond the scheduled window, extra containment and off-site disposal are shown as their own lines.
- A deposit on first-time work is normal. Contract accounts are invoiced per visit.

Frequently Asked Questions — Fleet Washing
Straight answers to what fleet managers ask before they book.
Do you come to our location or do we bring vehicles to you?
We come to you. The crew brings the equipment, detergents, containment and water recovery to your yard and washes the vehicles where they are parked.
How much does fleet washing cost in Arkansas?
Fleet washing is priced per unit by vehicle class, from $35 per unit for a basic wash on a van, pickup or Class 4-5 truck. A standard wash with wheel degreaser and bug removal is $55 for a van, $85 for a box truck and $110 for a semi tractor; full service runs $80 to $210 per unit. Every visit carries a job minimum and a $150 flat fuel surcharge, and monthly contracts on vans, box trucks and semis take 15% off. The written quote states the minimum for your route and follows the yard walk.
How long does fleet washing take?
Plan on roughly 20 to 30 minutes for a cargo van and 30 to 45 for a semi tractor, so a 10-vehicle fleet is usually a half-day visit, most of it outside your operating hours; we give you a time estimate when we schedule.
Can you wash vinyl-wrapped vehicles?
Yes, with care. Wrap needs lower pressure and a wrap-safe detergent so the edges do not lift. Tell us which units are wrapped when you request the estimate.
Do you offer contracts for regular fleet washing?
Yes. Monthly contract accounts take 15% off the van, box truck and semi rates; bi-weekly and weekly programs, and refuse fleets, are quoted on the yard walk. Most fleets land on every two weeks or monthly, with the underside added through the winter brine months. The right interval depends on miles and route, season, whether the unit parks in front of customers, and surface; we would rather put you on the interval that suits the fleet than sell a frequency you do not need.
What happens to the wash water?
We berm or cover the storm inlets, recover the water, and discharge it only where your site approves, typically the sanitary sewer or a holding tank. Anything that leaves the site goes through your approved hauler as its own line on the quote.
Do you provide a COI and W-9?
Yes. American Services AR carries general liability insurance with a $2M aggregate limit, and you get a certificate of insurance naming whoever your contract requires, plus a W-9, before we mobilize.
Can you handle heavy equipment like excavators and skid steers?
Yes, under a different service. Excavators, dozers, loaders and skid steers are degreased by our heavy equipment cleaning crew and billed by the crew-hour rather than per unit, because the work takes longer.
Do you wash refuse, dump and roll-off trucks?
Yes. Packers, roll-offs, grapple trucks and transfer trailers are washed on a separate refuse rate card priced per unit by truck type and unit count; a single rear-load packer is $175 per unit, falling to $64 at 40 or more, and the scope adds the hopper, packer blade and tailgate cavity.
What areas do you serve for fleet washing?
All of Arkansas. We are based in Conway and build routes around the freight corridors: West Memphis, Little Rock and North Little Rock, Springdale, Fort Smith, Texarkana and Jonesboro. Other yards are quoted with the real drive time in the number, and a yard more than about an hour from Conway is quoted by the crew-hour.
