Industrial, Commercial and Home Exterior Cleaning in Jonesboro, AR
The Manufacturing Centre of Northeast Arkansas
Jonesboro is the largest city in northeast Arkansas and the regional seat of Craighead County,
and its economy rests on two legs that rarely sit together: a dense manufacturing cluster and the
agriculture of the Delta. The Jonesboro Industrial Park and Craighead Technology Park hold
globally recognised names across conveyor systems, snack foods, frozen prepared foods, trailers,
cereal and household products, and the regional manufacturing base runs to something near a
hundred facilities employing more than eleven thousand people. Arkansas State University sits in
the middle of it, and the hospitals make the city the medical centre for the whole north-east.
We work out of Conway, roughly 130 miles south-west, and we run northeast Arkansas as scheduled
trips. That shapes what we are a good fit for: plant programmes, multi-building commercial
accounts, and residential work booked as a group. We say that up front rather than quoting you the
drive.
Food Plants Change the Method, Not Just the Paperwork
A material share of the manufacturing here is food — snack production, frozen prepared foods,
cereal. Cleaning in or against a food facility is a different trade from washing a warehouse, and
a contractor who has not worked under these conditions creates problems rather than solving them:
- Chemistry has to suit the environment. What is acceptable on a dry dock is not
acceptable where product moves. Selection, documentation of what was used, and rinse protocol are
part of the job rather than an afterthought. - Water and soil are captured, not drained. In a food environment wash water
does not find its own way anywhere; it is contained, recovered and accounted for. - Audit evidence. Third-party auditors ask what was cleaned, when, by whom and
how. We leave a written record, because you will be asked for one and a verbal answer is not one. - Production comes first. Sanitation windows, changeovers and planned shutdowns
mean nights and weekends. The line is not stopping for a cleaning contractor. - Sequence prevents cross-contamination between areas — equipment and order of
work both matter.
The item that most often becomes an unexpected finding is overhead. Deck, bar joists, trusses,
pipe runs, conduit and light fixtures collect dust and condensate residue that an auditor looks up
at and nobody has cleaned. We extract it with HEPA vacuum from lifts rather than blowing it down
onto open equipment, which is the difference between cleaning a ceiling and moving the problem to
the floor: high-bay cleaning
and dusting. Degreasing and washdown run under
industrial pressure
washing.
Floors Take Chemical Attack From Both Directions
A food or process floor is attacked by the product and by the sanitation chemistry used on it,
plus constant wet traffic and thermal shock at the wash-down. Standard epoxy is frequently the
wrong specification here; novolac and urethane systems hold up to acid and temperature cycling
where general-purpose product delaminates. The slab gets moisture tested before anything is
specified, because a coating over a wet slab fails regardless of how good the coating is:
industrial floor
coating.
In a plant or a distribution building the aisle, egress and equipment-clearance markings are an
OSHA expectation rather than decoration, and in a wash-down environment material selection decides
whether they last a year or a shift. Your safety lead signs off the colour key before we mix
anything: floor marking and
safety striping.
Delta Agriculture, Grain Dust and Ag Equipment
Craighead County sits in rice, soybean and cotton country, and agricultural work brings soils we
do not see in central Arkansas. Grain and rice dust accumulates in and around handling structures
and is a genuine combustible-dust consideration rather than a housekeeping nicety. Harvest
equipment, grain trailers and handling machinery come in caked with crop residue and field soil
that holds moisture against steel and corrodes it from the outside in.
There is also a practical reason beyond corrosion that owners care about: a machine caked in
residue cannot be properly inspected, and a pre-sale or end-of-season clean is what lets a buyer or
a mechanic actually see the condition of what they are looking at. We degrease where machines sit,
with containment:
heavy equipment
cleaning.
Trailer manufacturing and freight both put units on the ground here. We wash fleets on site so
nothing leaves the yard and no time is lost to travel:
fleet washing. For any fleet
the interval is the value — a scheduled programme, not a rescue wash on a neglected unit.
Containment on Agricultural and Industrial Wash Water
Wash water off plant concrete and farm equipment carries oil, fuel, fertiliser and pesticide
residue and crop solids. Letting that reach a storm inlet or a field ditch in an agricultural
watershed is the kind of mistake that attracts an enforcement letter and deserves to.
We berm or cover the inlets in the wash area, recover the water, and discharge only to the point
your site approves. Anything requiring disposal leaves through your approved hauler as its own line
on the quote, shown separately rather than folded into a single number. Send your stormwater permit
or SWPPP with the request and we will work to it.
Campus, Medical and Commercial Property
A university and two hospital systems make institutional work a large share of the exterior
market here, and institutional work has constraints a retail strip does not: entries and walkways
have to be done around term dates, clinic hours and events rather than whenever suits a contractor,
and covered walkways and breezeways grow the algae that makes concrete genuinely slippery when wet.
That is a liability item, not a cosmetic one.
The commercial corridors along Caraway and Stadium bring the ordinary recurring work: entry
slabs, storefront glass and frames, awnings that fade to grey long before anyone cleans them,
dumpster enclosures nobody budgets for, and the parking surface and its striping, which is the
first thing a driver reads about whether a business is maintained. Those are
commercial exterior cleaning,
commercial window cleaning,
commercial concrete
cleaning and
parking lot striping and
sealcoating.
Naming the industries above describes Craighead County’s employment base, not a client roster.
What it tells you is which conditions we are equipped and trained for. References for plant work
are available on request and they are ones you can telephone.
Houses in Jonesboro
The Delta climate decides residential work here, and the problem is biological rather than dust:
- Mildew and algae on siding and brick on shaded and north-facing elevations,
heavier in this humidity than anywhere west of here. Soft wash, low pressure, correct chemistry —
pressure on siding forces water behind it and the damage appears later from the inside. - Black roof streaking, a cyanobacteria rather than dirt, which returns on a
predictable interval unless treated instead of blasted. Pressure on asphalt shingles takes granules
off and shortens the roof. - Concrete going slick under shade in high humidity — a slip hazard first.
- Gutters, where the real failure is a blocked outlet rotting fascia rather than
the trough itself.
Those are
house washing,
soft washing,
roof cleaning,
concrete cleaning and
gutter cleaning.
At 130 miles a single address is a poor use of a trip and a street is a good one — the mobilisation
costs the same either way, so a group booking drops the per-house number substantially.
Scheduling Northeast Arkansas
We fill northeast Arkansas runs rather than making them for one job. Give us a shutdown or
sanitation window as early as you have it and we will build the trip around it; for residential,
gather the neighbours and we will price the group. In business since 2010, $2M general liability
with COI and W-9 before mobilisation, crews trained to OSHA 10 and 40-hour HAZWOPER, DBIDS base
access, PWNA and UAMCC members. We complete your pre-task plan or JSA and follow your site’s
orientation, GMP, permit, lockout/tagout and PPE rules. Anything of size gets walked before it is
quoted, and the quote is line by line with every adder shown separately.
